Meet Kim Bos, CWC’s Clinical Program Manager

In January, we welcomed Kim Bos, LCSW, LCADC, to the ChooseWell Communities team as our Clinical Program Manager!

Kim earned her MSSW (Master of Science in Social Work) with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She became a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in 2020 while working at The Healing Place.

The addition of Kim’s position is a big milestone for ChooseWell Communities. The clinical expertise required to run CWC has historically been provided by volunteer board members.  As ChooseWell Communities has grown, there has been a broader need for staff-level expertise to provide for the strategic direction and direct services for our participants and their families.

Kim brings to the job extensive experience with individuals who are parents of young children and have histories of trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Prior to joining ChooseWell Communities, she worked at The Healing Place, Maryhurst, and Jewish Family and Career Services.  While at The Healing Place, one of Kim’s responsibilities was to manage the HALO (Helping Addicts Lift Off) project, which was funded by a $5,000,000 SAMHSA grant .

The systems and organizations [for mental health] are getting ready to collapse. I want to be a part of something that provides meaningful long-term support to families,” says Kim. “ChooseWell Communities provides the kind of long-term support our participants need to solidify their sobriety journey for themselves and for their young children.”
