Partner Spotlight: St. Vincent de Paul

Our partnership with St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) exemplifies what’s possible when two mission-driven organizations come together to offer opportunity, dignity, and support for families rebuilding their lives.

At ChooseWell Communities, we believe that meaningful employment is essential to sustained recovery and self-sufficiency.

A cornerstone nonprofit in Louisville, SVDP provides a comprehensive continuum of care—offering food, shelter, affordable housing, counseling, and emergency financial assistance to individuals and families in need. Their commitment to holistic, person-centered services makes them a natural ally in ChooseWell’s mission to support families in early recovery.

Together, we’ve created internship-to-work pathways for participants in our KYnship program. These paid internships provide hands-on training in:

  • Property Maintenance

  • Food Service

  • Social Services and Community Support

Through these experiences, participants gain practical skills and build the confidence needed to reenter the workforce. More than just job training, these internships offer a sense of purpose, daily structure, and a supportive work environment tailored to the realities of early recovery and parenting.

This partnership not only equips participants with employable skills—it also strengthens their long-term stability by fostering professional relationships, financial independence, and hope for the future.

We are deeply grateful to SVDP for walking alongside our families and investing in their growth. Together, we’re proving that with the right support, recovery can be a beginning—not an end.
