New Learning Lab Opens the Door to Tech Skills and Career Advancement for CWC Participants
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a new Computer & Learning Lab, made possible through a dynamic partnership between ChooseWell Communities and MADE180, a workforce development leader specializing in technical training and certifications.
This dedicated space is more than just a room with computers—it’s a launching pad for participants in recovery who are ready to build their futures. Located on-site and formally established during this reporting period, the Learning Lab provides a trauma-informed, recovery-friendly environment where participants can work on resumes, develop digital literacy, and pursue professional certifications at their own pace.
MADE180 brings deep expertise to the partnership, offering accessible, skill-based training in high-demand areas such as Microsoft Office, Adobe design tools, construction basics, and even advanced IT and healthcare certifications through the ed2go platform. Their hands-on and online courses are designed to meet learners where they are—whether they’re starting with basic tech skills or preparing for career advancement in a specialized field.
Through this partnership:
Participants gain access to industry-recognized training and certifications that align with local job market needs.
MADE180 provides qualified technical support during lab hours to ensure learners stay on track.
ChooseWell’s Workforce Development Manager coordinates participant support and maintains a recovery-supportive environment.
Both partners collaborate on data-sharing and outcomes tracking to continually improve the impact of this initiative.
This partnership is a powerful example of how community collaboration can create real opportunity. Together, we are not only equipping parents in early recovery with tools to succeed—we’re helping them build confidence, purpose, and long-term stability through meaningful employment.
Stay tuned as we highlight participant success stories and certification milestones from this exciting new initiative!
